Cabernet Franc 2023

A blend of fruit from Serenity Vineyards on the west side of Seneca Lake (farmed by our friends at Hermann J Wiemer) and from our home vineyard, New Suns. Distinctly lifted and playful, oodles of peppery spice and rose petal floral tones. Lithe, soft, energetic.

Cabernet Franc from Serenity Vineyards (75% of the final blend) fermented entirely whole cluster. 10 days of carbonic maceration followed by 9 days of alcohol fermentation.

Cab Franc from New Suns (25% of the blend) destemmed and macerated on skins for 10 days.

Aged entirely in neutral barrel, sulfured after malolactic and before bottling.
